the dollar fund

Each week Woodland Heights members are asked to set aside $1 that is given at the end of both morning services. The money is a little extra, given to missions and ministries our church is connected to around the world.

Over the years the dollar fund has been a tool God has greatly used to minister in areas both near and far. Money from the fund has supported work right here in the Metroplex, but also around the United States (Ohio and Alaska) and around the world (Haiti, Honduras, Macedonia, Zimbabwe, Poland, India, Taiwan, and China).

Gifts given in 2015 were given to the following ministries:

6Stones for Operation Backpack and Night of Hope: $1,720

Anchor Baptist Church, Alaska: $1,000

Samaritan's Purse for Nepal Earthquake: $1,000

Youth Mission Trip: $800

Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief: $1,000

Global Outreach International Water-well project: $1,500

Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child: $1,379

Assisting WHBC Members participating in Mission Trips around the world: $2,500
